In these works the artist uses a knitted mask bought in Ecuador, the Mask portrays Aya Huma, a character who appears in Summer Solstice celebrations whose role is to chase away demons

This performance was made in the studio in 2020 using the knitted Aya Huma mask from Ecuador the performer continued to knit herself into the mask.  This piece was made at a time of lockdown due to the Covid Pandemic

This performance was made in the studio in 2022 after the artist had added knitted ribbons to the Aya Huma mask, making the performer into a kind of “Maypole”
